Kayaking, Caving & Organic Farm - 1 Day Tour

This tour is unique to Explore Asia Laos and different from the other kayaking tours in town.

The tour starts by driving north of town to a traditional village where you will recieve some training.

We then start to paddle down the Nam Song taking in the stunning scenery before taking a rest and visiting Tham Nam Thaem cave and have a barbecue lunch.

We then continue downstream and visit the organic farm, where you can try the wine, mulberry tea and local fruit. You can enjoy a swim in the waters to cool down and then we go to Tham None the largest cave in Vang Vieng.

We finish with an easy 30 minute paddle back to Vang Vieng in time to catch the sunset.

Kayaking, Tubing & Caving - 1 Day Tour

Option 1: The day starts with a visit to the Elephant Cave about 15km north of Vang Vieng. The cave lies on the Nam Song river and is an important bhuddist temple and owes it's name to a remarkable limestone formation.

We will walk through green rice fields to the Water Cave where you can swim and go tubing inside up to 500m. After the tubing we will serve you a barbecue lunch at the cave and then the kayaking begins.

You will receive basic training from professional guides and then paddle down the river past stunning limestone karsts and beautiful scenery arriving back at Vang Vieng in time for sunset and a well deserved drink.

Option 2: This is the same tour except after lunch you will kayak to where the tubing begins in Vang Vieng and swap the kayaks for tubes to float lazily back to town in time to watch the sunset.

Its hidden corridors are filled with an endless array of stalagmites and stalactites, underground lakes, deep wells and up to 80 m high chimneys!

Continuing westwards the trail gets increasingly rough as we follow the narrow valley of the Houay San stream until Pha Deng 'red cliff' comes into sight to the right.

Continuing on we arrive in Phonxay the first village on the banks of the Nam Khouang.
