A five day tour starting from Pakse crossing the Bolaven Plateau tp the rugged province of Attapeu, before crossing the newly opened border heading into Vietnam and onto the beach resort of Quy nhon.

Day 1: Pakse - Tad Lo

Departing Pakse at 8am, drive east by road to Tad Paxuam, a distinctive circular shaped waterfall which is featured on many postcards of Laos. Then it is on to Tad Lo where you will have lunch and swim in the cool pool at the top of the waterfall if you wish, take an afternoon stroll through the scenic areas or even take an elephant ride. We will spend the night in Tad Lo.

Day 2: Tad Lo - Ban Mai - Attapeu

After breakfast we drive to Ban Mai in Sanamaxai Disctrict where we will take a boat ride up the Xe Pian river for about an hour to Tad Samongphak. Just after the rainy season this area is especially breahtaking when the rivers are high. From Samongphak waterfall we continue a short way by boat followed by a trek (around 1.5 hours) to Saepha waterfull where we will have a picnic lunch. After lunch we walk back to the river and take the boat to Ban Mai and then drive on to Attapeu for the night.

Day 3: Attapeu - Pleiku

Attapeu is one of the most isolated and rugged regions in Laos with a wide variety of colourful wildlife and ethnic villages. Due to being along the Ho Chi Minh Trail and suffering heavy bombing during the Vietnam War, on the way to Pa-am you can see the old surface to air missile.

We continue to the Laos-Vietnamese border at Bo Y and after immigration continue to Pleiku on the way stopping at Dakto which was a major battlefield during the war. We will have lunch at Kon Tun before travelling to the market town of Pleiku. Pleiku is home to bahnar and Jarai minorities. You can visit a communal house and enjoy a Gong performance before returning to Pleiku.

Day 4-5: Pleiku - Quy Nhon

Transfer from pleiku to Quy Nhon and the rest of the time is yours to relax at the beach resort.
