Kayaking in Si Phan Don - 1 Day Tour

A one day tour kayaking tour through the wetlands of Si Phan Don, Liphi, Khon Pha Peng waterfalls, the old French railway bridge and a chance to see the endangered Irrawaddy Dolphins.

We depart from Don Det or Don Khone and kayak towards the old railway bridge on Don Khone. We then take a walk to Liphi (Son Phamit) waterfall. Once you have enjoyed the magnificence of this waterfall we move on to where the kayaks are waiting for us under the main falls.

We continue on to the Cambodian part of the river to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins. Whilst sitting in Cambodia we enjoy lunch and the magnificent view of the Mekong. Watching the dolphins, eating and relaxing is a fantastic way to spend an hour.

We then head downstream towards the Laos/Cambodian border. Here we have transportation to take us to the Mekong's largest waterfall; Khon Pha Pheng. And then we continue back to Don Det.

We can arrange for you to continue to Cambodia and transport your luggage if you so wish.

There are a lot of fun rapdis. Once through we can relax as the pace drops off back into the Mekong. Here we swap the raft for a local motor boat to continue on to the Cambodian part of the river to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins. Whilst sitting in Cambodia we enjoy lunch and the magnificent view of the Mekong. Watching the dolphins, eating and relaxing is a fantastic way to spend an hour.

We then head downstream towards the Laos/Cambodian border. Here we swap transportation to a local Songthaew and head back towards Naka Sang. Before getting to Naka Sang we stop off at Khon Pha Pheng; the biggest waterfall on the Mekong. We then continue to Naka Sang and on to Don Det.
